New Exhibition Venue

I looked at several venues in relation to the exhibition and decided that the Royal Arms at Tockholes would be a great place to display my work. This public house is on google as a "Doggie Pub" and is central to many walks in the area with the Visitors Centre being just next door.

I again approached the venue in person and met with Alison the landlady, who was a lovely lady and extremely enthusiastic about my work. With the initial deadline time frame in mind we discussed a suitable date for the exhibition preview night which would be in 1 weeks time on  Friday 20th April at 7pm.

This is the selection of images which i have chosen to use, all of the Dog de Bordeaux where to go in the back room along with the Pug and French Bulldog and on the fire place was Juno & Hermione. The bar area would have only Barney (first dog bottom left) a large print over the fire place, and the same with the dinning room which would have Lily (last dog bottom right). The front room had space for 6 images which is were the remaining images would go.

Printing & Framing

As i had various print sizes for the exhibition this allowed me to carry out some of the printing myself and the remaining images where printed by Kevin our technician. I also framed all of the images myself and when looking for the frames i chose a rustic wood which was more suited the surroundings of a traditional country pub rather thank going for a more contemporary frame which is what i initially had in-mind.

Order Form

This is the order form I created so that people could buy the images if they wished, I also took my ipad on the night with a wider selection of images from each photo shoot.

Spreading The Word

As a lot of the people who had initially come to the dog portrait day were contacted via facebook i decided to create and event on there which would allow me to invite them along with friends and family aswell. Below are the event details.
