After looking at various sources of literature i settled upon those which talked about friendship. I thought about how i could relate this to y work and what in my life represented this but in a less obvious manner.
As a child (and still now) i have always loved animals and I always longed for a dog, it wasn't until i left home that i then got my first dog Scooby and a few years later Rocky. When I think about how i feel about them it resembles in some ways the love i have for my children. They too are my 'babies' and I love them unconditionally. I also think that to look at they are beautiful creatures, i love there form and each is individual in their own way.
This beauty i see and the love i have for my own and other dogs i want to express through imagery and create a portrait which encompasses these ideas and allows the viewer to connect with each dog individually as you would do with a human portrait.
